Long ago, power star Pawan Kalyan made an announcement that he would do a film under the direction of veteran Telugu director Dasari Narayana Rao.
And Dasari, too, endorsed it but said he would only produce the film and story, screenplay and direction would be selected by Pawan himself. This report has appeared in the media several times in several forms.
But, the latest talk doing rounds in the Tollywood is that the so-called Dasari-Pawan film is not going to take off in the near future.
Pawan has given green signal to do films with directors Dolly, Trivikram Srinivas and R T Ninan, which would be produced by Sharad Marar, Radhakrishna and A M Ratnam respectively. And he had also committed for another couple of films, including the one to be made by Mythri Movies.
It does mean, Pawan has not finalised the film with Dasari. In fact, Dasari reportedly offered him some advance payment, but Pawan rejected the same. This has given rise to speculations that Pawan has dropped the idea of doing a movie with Dasari, though the latter made a couple of attempts to revive the plan.
As of now, none of the three films signed by Pawan has not gone on the sets. Even if he starts the exercise now, two of them might get released in 2017 and the third one in 2018. After that, he has to do the film for Mythri Movies.
By that time, it would be election season in the state and Pawan would be busy for his political plans. So, when would Dasari get the chance to make the film with Pawan? |
