Life
He was born on 6 June 1936 to Daggubati Venkateswarlu and Lakshmi Devamma in Karamchedu in the present-day Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. In 1963, he produced his first Telugu film Anuragam, followed by a very successful Ramudu Bheemudu starring N. T. Rama Rao in 1964.[1] He is a member of the Telugu Desam Party and represented Baptala constituency in Guntur District in the 13th Lok Sabha from 1999-2004. He lost in the elections to the same seat for the 14th Lok Sabha in 2004.
